SPLIT-FOUNTAIN COVER
PRINT Magazine is dedicated to exploring visual communication and design as an influencer of and gateway to popular culture. For the front of their Color Issue, Print Magazine attempted to replicate a screen printing technique digitally. Unhappy with the result, PRINT Magazine approached the Powerhouse poster shop to design and execute the cover as it related to a cover story on the lost art of split-fountain screen printing.
Authentically producing the cover beautifully illustrated the technique detailed in the story, while deftly demonstrating the importance and continued relevance of screen printing as an artistic medium.
